Kate and Gerry McCann are suing former police chief Goncalo Amaral for more than £1million
"MADELEINE McCann’s parents are set to be quizzed in court later this year in connection with their daughter’s disappearance.
Kate and Gerry McCann, of Rothley, Leics, will face lawyers acting on behalf of the Portuguese detective who led the hunt for Madeleine.
They are suing former police chief Goncalo Amaral for more than £1million damages over claims he made about them.
Amaral, who believes Madeleine is dead, is due to call the McCanns in his bid to defend himself.
Last night the couple’s lawyer Isabel Duarte said she expects the libel trial to take place this year.
She said: “It could be June or July but most likely September. He can call them if there are things they can contribute (to his case).”

So they are still obsessed with that £Million? I thought that this matter was definitely closed, they had already appealed against Amaral's book to be published, they LOST, meanwhile G. Amaral has lost of a lot of income (and thanks to the McCanns in the first place), all this banned time while no sales could be made, so logically shouldn't Amaral sue the McCanns for a £Million then?
I've never read this written anywhere, but how is it called? Loss of income / earnings, by prevention or obstruction or a legal term of the sort. It's clearly a huge LOSS OF EARNINGS! His Lawyer would well know what to call it.
The £Million seems to be a sticky, stubborn target. It was one Million Reward for a while, then the Million pursuit as we still see now in the bid to raid Amaral's pockets, also the hope to make a Million from their book sales.
Are they one million times more of dreamers than I had ever imagined?
By the way there this a huge lie in their book. I can't quote because of the darling copyrights, but I can talk about it in my own words: Kate wrote that Gerry rushed outside to verify the shutters, and that he could pushed them up, UP, after she had pulled them down... but everyone in that resort, and even the police, said that it is NOT possible to open these metallic shutters from the outside. One more, Kate!
Back to this article, Kate has done several solo trips to Portugal this year, for legal matters. Was she preparing this oncoming court ?

In her police statement, Kate McCann insisted that none of her children were on any medication.
She also stated that the windows were closed, the shutters were down and the curtains were always drawn in the children's bedroom throughout their stay in Portugal.
She said: "I saw the door of the children's room wide open and noticed a current of air."
"The same current of air closed the door but the window in the other room that backed onto the patio was closed."
"When I went to look for Madeleine I realised she wasn't there."
"I looked through the apartment and I went back to the children's room and then saw the curtains moving towards me so it became clear the window shutters were wide open.
"I went to the window and opened the curtains to see if she had climbed out but there was no sign of her.
"I don't know if I closed the window at that moment.
Mr McCann also told police that workmen had come into their holiday apartment to fix a broken window shutter in the main bedroom just two days before she disappeared.
He added: "I saw the angle of their door had changed and it was open around 45 degrees.
"I thought perhaps Madeleine had woken up and left the room.
"Out of the corner of my eye I looked in our room and couldn't see her.
"Then I opened the children's door 60 degrees and looked to the left and saw Maddie sleeping with her head on the pillow on the right hand side of the bed."
After Kate Claimed Madeleine had been taken Gerry states;
"I returned to the children's room and I tried to think what could have happened.
"To my surprise I realised I could lift up the window shutters without effort and almost without making noise.
So Gerry opened the door wider as Kate claimed it to be on her checking the children at 10pm, and as it was only Kate's finger prints found by forensics on the shutters and not Gerry's, as Gerry states clearly that he lifted up the shutters in a way to think about what could have happened, or was it to make it look like what had happened? It looks like Gerry is deliberately lying about opening the shutters to support Kate's story that the window and the shutters were already open when she last checked on the children, and if Gerry's lying about opening the shutters himself, then Kate is obviously lying that the shutters and widows were open, jemmied, smashed or forced open from the outside when she checked on the children!
pfffffffffffffffffff don't you remember their first lies to close family and friends? All these stated to the media that they were told by them on the phone about the window being tampered with and the shutters smashed!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese people shuld be asked in court about this. They can't really forget nor deny they ALL said the same to the press!!! This would show the lie, massive, impossible to mask!

AH AND VERY IMPORTANT: yes why weren't GERRY's FINGERPRINTS on the shutters??!!! But there WERE fingerprints, though unidentified. Thick thumbs that could -and would- be his.
This can confirm the way HE pulled the shutters UP (or tried to as it's proven impossible to do anyway!)

as in The Sun book extract or interview 7th May 2011 Paper Edition sher says that Gerry RUSHED outside to check the shutters, tried to push them UP from the OUTSIDE (and managed...., he pushed them right up...), whereas here in this article 2 years ago she was saying FROM THE KIDS ROOM!

Isn't it great that the McCann's case to nab £1 million off Ameral in court for damages later this year, mean's he can call the McCann's up in front of a Portugese judge and jury and force Kate to answer all those 48 questions she refused to answer in 2007, lol.
ReplyDeleteIf Kate refuses to answer those 48 questions under oath in court, that's contempt, she could be jailed until she answers all 48 questions, which could take year's, lol. She could lie under oath compared to her original statement and purger herself, which is another sentence in a prison cell, and if she admits to leaving her children alone in the apartment under oath, she and Gerry are both looking at a 5 year stretch for child neglect and their claim for £1 million in damages out of Ameral will be thrown on the rubbish tip, so either way Ameral's won already, hahahahahahaha!
